Method
Preparation
- Start by gathering all your ingredients. Dice your potatoes into bite-sized pieces, and mince the garlic.
Cooking Potatoes
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.
Cooking Steak
- Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet. Add the steak to the empty side and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned.
- If you prefer your steak medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C).
Adding Garlic Butter
- Lower the heat and add the minced garlic and butter to the skillet.
- Stir everything together, allowing the butter to melt and coat the steak and potatoes. Cook for an additional minute until the garlic becomes fragrant.
Garnishing
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for a pop of color.
- Serve hot and enjoy the incredible aroma filling your kitchen!
Notes
For substitutions, feel free to substitute beef with chicken or lamb. Watch the cooking time for potatoes to ensure they are crispy, but not burnt.
