Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup oat flour Check for gluten-free certification if needed.
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted almond butter Substitute with sunflower seed butter if nut allergies are a concern.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips Optional, for added sweetness and flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine oat flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, mix maple syrup and almond butter until smooth and creamy.
  4. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until well combined, reaching a thick batter consistency.
  5. If using, gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Transfer the batter to an 8x8 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let the bars cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Once cool, cut into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving.
