Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix them thoroughly.
- Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Stir until the mixture comes together in a dough.
Kneading and Rising
- Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
- After the first rise, punch down the dough to release air bubbles. Shape it into a loaf.
- Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan, cover it, and let it rise for another 20 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Once the dough has risen, bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store bread at room temperature in an airtight container for 2-3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, wrap slices in foil and warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
