- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Mix in the sugar until fully incorporated, then add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best texture, do not overbake. You can customize flavors with nuts or different types of chocolate chips.
