Preparation
- Start by pressing the tofu to remove excess moisture. You can do this by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for about 15-20 minutes.
- Once pressed, slice the tofu into bite-sized pieces or strips, depending on your preference.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the tofu pieces and gently toss until fully coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
- Place the marinated tofu pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded. Air fry for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
- Once they turn golden brown and crispy, remove the tofu from the fryer.
Serving
- Serve it hot, perhaps garnished with some green onions or a drizzle of your favorite sauce!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To freeze, ensure you wrap it tightly for up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer or oven to regain crispness.
