  • 1 whole cauliflower Remove leaves and trim stem, keeping head whole.
  • 1/2 cup butter Use a plant-based alternative for a dairy-free option.

  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Garlic powder
  • optional Fresh herbs for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem while keeping the head intact.
  3. Place the whole cauliflower in a pot of boiling salted water for about 5 minutes to slightly soften it.
  4. Transfer the cauliflower to a baking dish.
Making the Butter Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Once melted, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter sauce over the cauliflower, ensuring it's evenly coated.
Roasting
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and roast for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and golden.
  2. Baste with some extra butter halfway through if desired.
Garnishing
  1. Remove from the oven and add your choice of fresh herbs for garnish.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use a plant-based butter. Keep a close watch while roasting to avoid overcooking. If not browning enough, broil for a few extra minutes.
