Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using a store-bought crust, fit it into a 9-inch pie plate, ensuring to press down on the edges.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until well blended. Stir in the shredded cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, fold in the chopped vegetables.
  4. Carefully pour the egg mixture into the prepared pie crust.
Baking
  1. Place the pie in the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
  2. Once baked, let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
