Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well with each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey kick!
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let them cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For substitutions, try using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet and brown sugar for a richer flavor. Keep a close watch during baking to avoid overbaking. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer storage.
