Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground chicken or turkey.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 unit egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Ensure it’s halal-friendly.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Ensure it’s halal-friendly.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Baking
  1. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through and browned.
Saucing
  1. While the meatballs are baking, heat the barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Toss the cooked meatballs in the warm sauce right before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with fresh herbs or extra sauce as desired.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven. Uncooked meatballs can be frozen for up to 3 months.
