Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook the beef until browned, about 7-10 minutes, then drain excess fat.
- Add diced onions and bell peppers to the beef, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until they soften. Stir in the pizza sauce and remove the mixture from heat.
- Roll out the pre-made pizza crust in a pie dish or deep-dish pan. Pour the beef mixture into the crust, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. Add pepperoni slices or any other toppings.
- Fold over the edges of the pizza crust to seal in the filling. Whisk the egg and brush it over the crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. It's best enjoyed warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
