  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots) Fresh veggies can be swapped based on what you have
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil Adds flavor and helps achieve crispy texture
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Chop your mixed vegetables, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking.
Marinating the Chicken
  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and let them marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or a wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Toss in your mixed vegetables and stir-fry for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  4. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the chicken and veggies, and let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and serve your Sweet Savory Chicken Stir Fry over a bed of cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze it but it's best enjoyed fresh. Reheat on stove over low-medium heat, adding a splash of water if needed.
