Preparation
- Start by gathering all your ingredients and measuring them out.
Marination
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the mixture and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 10-15 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken (reserve the marinade) and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet, bring it to a simmer, and allow it to reduce and thicken for about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Serving
- Once the sauce has thickened and coats the chicken nicely, remove from heat. Plate the chicken and drizzle with the sticky sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve warm, ideally with rice or steamed vegetables.
Notes
For best results, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight. If your sauce is too thick, add a splash of water or chicken broth.
