Ingredients
  

Fruits and Vegetables
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup mango, diced Use ripe mangoes for best flavor.
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 whole jalapeño, seeded and minced Adjust amount for less heat if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Can substitute with parsley if desired.
Seasoning
  • to taste salt Add salt cautiously to avoid over-salting.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and dice the strawberries and mangoes into small pieces.
  2. Finely chop the red onion and jalapeño.
Mixing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries, mango, red onion, and minced jalapeño.
  2. Squeeze in the fresh lime juice and toss in the chopped cilantro. Stir until well combined.
  3. Sprinkle salt over the mixture to taste.
Chilling
  1. Let your salsa sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for the flavors to meld.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Not suitable for freezing. Stir gently before serving again.
