Ingredients

Pizza Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Toppings
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced halal pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • to taste Oregano and basil for garnish

Method

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Then, mix in the flour and salt, followed by the olive oil. Knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot for approximately 30 minutes.
Preheat the Oven
  1. While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Shape the Pizza
  1. Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
Add Toppings
  1. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet.
  2. Spread the pizza sauce evenly on the crust, leaving a small border for the crust.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by the sliced halal pepperoni and red pepper flakes.
Bake
  1. Place your pizza in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Once cooked, remove the pizza from the oven, sprinkle it with fresh oregano and basil, and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, swap out the pepperoni for vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms. Ensure your yeast is fresh for the best dough rise.
