Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken Ensure it's cooked and shredded beforehand.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Let it come to room temperature before mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken and BBQ sauce. Stir until the chicken is well-coated.
  3. Add softened cream cheese, sour cream, and garlic powder to the bowl. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese and half of the chopped green onions.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for about 20 minutes, until heated through and edges start to bubble.
  6. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with the remaining green onions.
  7. Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, or veggie sticks.

Notes

For substitutions, shredded turkey or canned chicken work well. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to 2 months.
