Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onions until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Pour the beef mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
- In a bowl, combine the refrigerated biscuit dough and milk. Stir until just combined. Take spoonfuls of this mixture and dollop them over the cheese layer in the casserole dish until fully covered.
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and cooked through.
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and return to the oven until melted.
- Remove from the oven, allow it to cool slightly, serve warm, and enjoy!
