Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 10 pieces large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup Halal-friendly bacon bits (or substitute with a plant-based option) Optional ingredient
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional, for a crunchy topping) Use breadcrumbs for extra crunch
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For drizzling

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully cut each jalapeño in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes if you prefer a milder taste.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Halal-friendly bacon bits (if using), and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly until you have a creamy, gooey delight.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture generously into each jalapeño half, packing it in well.
  5. If you want an extra crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the filled jalapeños.
  6. Place the jalapeño poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly drizzle with olive oil.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the jalapeños are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  2. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
  3. Enjoy your Simple Jalapeño Poppers Bites hot!
