Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and season the beef strips with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to fit your tart pan. Place the pastry into the pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
Assembly
- Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the bottom of the pastry, then layer with sliced Brie.
- Top with crispy beef strips and sprinkle with freshly chopped thyme.
- Brush the exposed edges of the pastry with the egg wash.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
- Let the tart cool for a few moments before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
Substitutions: Chicken or turkey strips can replace beef. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
