Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) for a crispy crust.
- Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface into a round shape that fits your baking tray or pizza stone.
- Transfer the dough to a baking tray lined with parchment paper or place it directly on a preheated pizza stone.
- Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the pizza base.
- Arrange the sliced heirloom tomatoes evenly over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle the fresh mozzarella cheese on top of the tomatoes.
- Lightly sprinkle salt and pepper over the pizza.
Baking
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- After baking, add fresh basil leaves on top for garnish.
- Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 2 months. To reheat, bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes.
