Preparation

- Beat in the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Baking
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers remain soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Frosting
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
- Once the cookies are completely cooled, spread the frosting on top of each cookie.
