  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 4 each burger buns

Method

Preparation
  1. First, dice the bell pepper and onion, and slice the mushrooms. This will make the cooking process a breeze!
  2. In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Once the beef is browned, add the diced onion, bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together, and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook down for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Top the beef mixture with the slices of provolone cheese, cover the skillet, and let it cook just until the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.
  7. Spoon the cheesy beef mixture onto the burger buns, and enjoy a messy, flavorful meal!

Notes

Make it Halal by substituting ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. For best results, serve immediately to avoid soggy buns and consider lightly toasting the buns.
