  • 1 cup cooked steak, sliced thin Ensure it's Halal.
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced Any color you prefer.
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded Ensure it's Halal.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Garlic Mixture: In a small bowl, combine minced garlic with olive oil and spread generously onto the cut sides of the Italian bread.
  3. Cook the Vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, cook sliced onions and bell peppers until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the Steak: Stir in the sliced steak and let the mixture cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Assemble the Bread: Place the garlic-coated bread cut-side up on a baking sheet and spoon the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the bread.
  6. Top with Cheese: Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese generously over the steak mixture.
  7. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
  8. Serve: Let it rest for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

Substitutions like mozzarella or gouda can be used if desired; ensure they are Halal-friendly. Store leftovers tightly in foil or an airtight container. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
