Ingredients
  

For the Protein Balls
  • 1 cup peanut butter Ensure it's halal-compliant.
  • 1/2 cup jelly Use your favorite flavor.
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, jelly, honey, and protein powder. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Add in the oats, chia seeds, and optionally, the chopped nuts. Continue mixing until everything is uniform. The mixture should be sticky and hold together well.
  3. With clean hands, take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into a ball, about 1 inch in diameter. Place each ball on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper.
  4. Once you’ve shaped all your protein balls, refrigerate them for no less than 30 minutes. This will help them firm up and maintain their shape.
  5. Once chilled, enjoy your Peanut Butter & Jelly Protein Balls immediately or store them for later.

Notes

You can easily swap out peanut butter for almond butter if you have a nut allergy. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months!
