Preparation
- In a medium saucepan, combine the orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, constantly stirring until the sugar has dissolved completely.
- Once the sugar is dissolved, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the juice mixture. Allow it to sit for a minute to 'bloom' before whisking it in.
- Gradually stir in the corn syrup, ensuring everything is well combined. Continue to heat gently for about 5 more minutes without letting it boil.
- Carefully pour the mixture into silicone candy molds or a lined baking dish. Allow it to cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until completely set.
- Once set, remove the candies from the molds and dust them with powdered sugar. Shake off any excess sugar for a flawless finish.
- Cut any larger pieces into bite-sized squares, and enjoy your homemade Orange Jelly Candy.
Notes
Store candies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For longer storage, surround each piece in powdered sugar or freeze in a sealed bag.
