  • 3 cups rolled oats

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and line a baking tray with parchment paper or wax paper.
Cooking
  1. In a medium saucepan, mix the granulated sugar and cocoa powder.
  2. Pour in the milk and add the unsalted butter. Heat over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
  3. Once at a rolling boil, let it boil for exactly 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  4. Stir in the rolled oats and vanilla extract. If using chocolate chips, mix them in now.
Cooling
  1. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto your prepared baking tray. Let them cool at room temperature or refrigerate to speed up the process.
