Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
Mix-Ins
  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Can be substituted with almond butter or sun butter.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Measure out all your ingredients.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and butter. Stir until smooth and boiling.
  3. Once boiling, allow the mixture to boil for about 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in the peanut butter and vanilla extract.
  5. Stir in the quick oats until evenly coated.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons onto wax or parchment paper.
  7. Cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes until set.
  8. Once set, enjoy your cookies!

Notes

To keep cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container re in the refrigerator. They last about a week. For freezing, layer with parchment paper and freeze for up to three months.
