Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond flour Can substitute with oat flour or buckwheat flour.
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup Agave nectar can be used for vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (like almond or peanut butter)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt
Optional Toppings
  • chopped nuts Feel free to use any kind you like.
  • chocolate chips Add more chocolate flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup, nut butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, mix the ingredients thoroughly until they create a cohesive, gooey dough. If the mixture is too dry, add a splash more maple syrup or a tad more nut butter.
  3. With clean hands, take small portions of your mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the rolls onto a parchment-lined tray or plate and refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. After chilling, you can roll your brownie bites in additional toppings if desired.
  6. Once set, serve them cold and enjoy your fudgy treat!

Notes

These bites can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week and can be frozen for up to 3 months. Adjust the liquid ingredients accordingly if adding protein powder.
