Method
 

Cooking the Gnocchi
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water.
  2. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, typically until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Drain and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the diced tomatoes with juice and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Lower heat, stir in heavy cream, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
Final Assembly
  1. Gently add cooked gnocchi to the sauce, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  2. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  3. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil, and serve immediately.

Notes

Don't forget to top with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs for enhanced flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
