  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Whisk together until well incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted unsalted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until blended well.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in your preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. While the bars cool, whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar in a bowl until smooth for the glaze.
  3. Once the bars are cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.

Notes

For variations, substitute coconut oil for butter or almond milk for regular milk. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerate for a week, or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, microwave for 10-15 seconds or warm in the oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes.
