Cheesy Mixture
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Reserve 3/4 cup for topping.

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Adds flavor and color.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cauliflower and broccoli, cooking for about 3-5 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  4. Gently fold the cooked cauliflower and broccoli into the cheese mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top. If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle them as well.
Baking
  1. Place the casserole into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

To ensure perfect results, avoid overcooking the vegetables, and feel free to mix different cheese varieties for a unique flavor. This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
