Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole lemon, sliced Fresh lemon for the best flavor.
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, sliced or grated Fresh ginger is preferred for a stronger flavor.
  • 2 cups water Boiling water to infuse the flavors.
  • to taste Honey (optional) Add for sweetness, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  2. While the water is heating, prepare your fresh ginger using a knife or grater.
  3. Once the water has boiled, add the sliced ginger to the pot and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced lemon after the ginger has infused, and allow it to steep for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  5. If desired, add honey to sweeten and stir well until it dissolves.
  6. Pour your Lemon & Ginger Tea into your favorite mug, and enjoy hot!

Notes

Store leftovers in a refrigerator-safe container for up to 3 days. Reheat on low heat or in the microwave without boiling.
