Ingredients
  

For the Lavender Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup fresh lavender flowers Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
For the Mocktail
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves Use fresh mint for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups sparkling water Add just before serving.
  • Ice cubes Ice cubes For serving.
  • Lemon slices for garnish Lemon slices Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation of Lavender Syrup
  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil. Add in the fresh lavender flowers and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for another 15 minutes.
Strain and Prepare Mocktail
  1. Carefully strain the lavender syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher and discard the lavender flowers.
  2. In a large glass or pitcher, add the fresh mint leaves and muddle gently to release their oils.
  3. Pour the strained lavender syrup into the glass with muddled mint and stir to combine.
  4. Add the sparkling water just before serving and stir gently to maintain fizz.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Lavender Mint Mocktail. Garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of mint if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover lavender syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Avoid freezing the mocktail to maintain texture and fizz.
