Preparation
- Slice the beef steak into thin strips and set aside the sliced onion and bell peppers.
Cooking
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef strips to the skillet, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Add minced garlic and sliced onion to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the sliced bell peppers and cook for another 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Pour soy sauce (or coconut aminos) over the mixture and stir. Cook for an extra minute to blend flavors.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a skillet over medium-low heat with a splash of water to maintain juiciness.
