  • 1 lb beef steak (flank or sirloin) Choose quality beef for best flavor.
  • 2 pieces bell peppers (sliced) Any colors of bell peppers can be used.
  • 1 piece onion (sliced) Yellow or white onion recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For frying the ingredients.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Fresh garlic enhances flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or coconut aminos Coconut aminos for a soy-free option.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season to preference.
  • Optional: red pepper flakes For added heat.

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef steak into thin strips and set aside the sliced onion and bell peppers.
Cooking
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef strips to the skillet, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Add minced garlic and sliced onion to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the sliced bell peppers and cook for another 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Pour soy sauce (or coconut aminos) over the mixture and stir. Cook for an extra minute to blend flavors.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a skillet over medium-low heat with a splash of water to maintain juiciness.
