Ingredients
  

For the burgers
  • 1 lb ground beef (make sure it’s Halal)
  • 2-3 jalapeños, diced (adjust based on your heat preference)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
Optional toppings
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • pickles

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Finely dice the jalapeños and soften the cream cheese at room temperature.
Mixing the filling
  1. In a bowl, combine the diced jalapeños with the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined and set aside.
Cooking the burgers
  1. Form the ground beef into four equal-sized balls, being careful not to compress the meat too tightly.
  2. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat, adding a dash of oil if desired.
  3. Place each meatball on the skillet and immediately smash it down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  4. Flip the smashed burgers and add a scoop of the jalapeño cream cheese mixture on top. Cover with a lid for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
Assembly
  1. Remove the patties from the skillet and place them in the toasted buns. Add your desired toppings like lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
  2. Dig in and enjoy the cheesy, spicy goodness!

Notes

Customize cheese types for personal preference and ensure all ingredients are Halal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
