  • 1 cup 1 cup walnuts, chopped Chop walnuts for texture
  • 1 cup 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Can substitute with dark chocolate for richer flavor
  • 3/4 cup 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Melt and cool slightly before use
  • 3 large 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out your pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake the pie for 35-40 minutes. The filling should be set but slightly jiggle in the center.
  2. Remove the pie and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Serving
  1. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
