Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole ripe pineapple, peeled and sliced Choose a ripe pineapple for optimal flavor.
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter Can substitute with coconut oil for a healthier option.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) Adds additional flavor.
  • as needed vanilla ice cream (optional for serving) Serves as a delicious topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by peeling and slicing the pineapple into rings or wedges, depending on your preference. Ensure the fruit is ripe to unleash its natural sweetness.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Wait until it’s bubbling, which means it’s ready for action.
  2. Add the pineapple slices to the pan in a single layer. Let them cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn golden brown and caramelize.
  3. Flip the slices carefully and drizzle honey over them. If you’re adding cinnamon, sprinkle it now! Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the honey to bubble and create a gooey glaze.
  4. Remove from heat and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired. Enjoy this delightful dish warm, preferably with loved ones around!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat on low heat in a skillet or microwave for about 30 seconds.
