Preparation
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water, peel, and devein them. Set aside.
- Rinse the broccoli florets and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Make the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cook the Broccoli
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the broccoli and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender yet still crisp. Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp
- In the same skillet, add the shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
Combine All Ingredients
- Once the shrimp are cooked, return the broccoli to the skillet. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and broccoli, tossing everything gently to coat evenly. Allow it to cook for another 2 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
Garnish and Serve
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Serve warm as a main dish over rice or noodles.
Notes
If using leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop over low heat. Add a splash of water if necessary to loosen the sauce.
