Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, and chop your vegetables in uniform sizes for even cooking.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce. Set this aside for later.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
Add the Vegetables
  1. Add your chosen mixed vegetables to the skillet. Stir them in with the chicken and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Combine with Sauce
  1. Pour your honey garlic sauce into the skillet, mixing well to coat all the chicken and vegetables evenly. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Remove the skillet from the heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately over rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Notes

You can store leftover Honey Garlic Chicken Stir Fry in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When reheating, a quick minute in the microwave works, but for best results, return it to the stovetop on medium heat.
