  • 4 tablespoons butter Use unsalted butter for more control over seasoning.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for the best flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Use dark soy sauce for a richer flavor if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (ensure it is Halal-approved) Can be substituted with a vegetarian alternative.
  • 2 pieces green onions, chopped Can be substituted with chives if unavailable.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method

Cooking the Noodles
  1. Begin by boiling a pot of water. Add your choice of noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of pasta water.
Sautéing the Garlic
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant but not browned.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, tossing everything together to ensure the noodles are evenly coated.
  2. If needed, add a splash of the reserved pasta water for a silkier texture.
Seasoning and Serving
  1. Sprinkle in the chopped green onions and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Toss everything together once more and cook for an additional minute to heat through. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the noodles for up to 2 months. When reheating, add a splash of water or broth to revive their texture.
