- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Sprinkle paprika, salt, and pepper over the turkey mixture, stirring well to combine.
- Stir in diced sweet potatoes, then pour in chicken broth.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if using.
Baking
- Bake uncovered for about 30-35 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender and mixture is bubbling.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
If using ground turkey isn't preferred, substitute with ground chicken or lean beef. For a quicker option, microwave the diced sweet potatoes before adding to the skillet.
