Ingredients

For the Steak and Zucchini
  • 1 lb steak (any steak cut you prefer) Opt for a good-quality steak cut like ribeye or sirloin for better flavor.
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced into rounds Feel free to add more vegetables like peppers or onions.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
For the Sauce
  • ½ cup heavy cream Can substitute with a dairy-free alternative such as coconut cream.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh herbs like parsley or dill (optional, for garnish) Add for extra flavor and freshness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by prepping your steak; season generously with salt and black pepper. Then, slice the zucchinis into round pieces.
Grilling
  1. Heat your grill over medium-high heat.
  2. Place the seasoned steak on the grill, cooking for 5–7 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove and let it rest.
  3. While the steak rests, toss the zucchini in olive oil, adding salt and pepper for flavor. Place them on the grill for about 4-5 minutes until they’re tender and slightly charred.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Stir over low heat until warmed through and slightly thickened. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Assembly
  1. Slice the rested steak and place it at the base of a bowl. Layer the grilled zucchini on top, and drizzle generously with the creamy sauce. Garnish with fresh herbs.
  2. Serve the bowls and prepare for compliments!
