Preparation
- In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
- Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms. Be careful not to overmix!
Shaping and Cooking
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Use a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters (one larger and one smaller) to cut out donuts and holes.
- Following the manufacturer’s instructions, preheat your air fryer for about 5 minutes.
- Place the donuts in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren’t touching each other. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for around 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
Glazing
- In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of milk, whisking until smooth for the glaze.
- Once the donuts are slightly cooled, dip one side in the glaze and set aside to allow it to set.
Serving
- Serve these delicious donuts fresh and indulge in the warm, sweet goodness!
Notes
Store donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; refrigerate for a week or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer for a minute or two.
