Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
- Carefully slice the loaf of bread into a grid pattern, cutting into squares but not all the way through to hold the bread together.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Generously spread the butter mixture into each cut in the bread using a spoon or brush.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese generously between the cuts.
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes to crisp up the top.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm.
