Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 large ripe bananas Make sure bananas are ripe for best sweetness.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Can substitute with dark chocolate or dairy-free chocolate.
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce Ensure it is Halal-compliant.
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt Plus extra for topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by peeling the bananas and slicing them into thick rounds, about 1 inch thick.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, place the chocolate chips. Microwave on medium power in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each banana slice into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off.
  4. Place the chocolate-coated bananas on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle a small amount of caramel sauce over each slice while the chocolate is still warm.
  5. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt over each bite.
  6. Place the baking sheet into the freezer and let the bites freeze for at least 1–2 hours until firm.
  7. Once frozen, enjoy them right away or transfer them to a sealed container for longer storage.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months. Best enjoyed straight from the freezer. Avoid reheating.
