Preparation
- Press the tofu by draining it and wrapping it in a clean towel, placing a heavy object on top for about 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Marination
- Once pressed, cut the tofu into cubes or slabs.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the tofu in the marinade until well coated.
Baking
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated tofu in a single layer.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
Serving
- Once golden and crispy, remove the tofu from the oven.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days. Reheat using oven or skillet methods as described to retain crispiness.
