- Rinse the shrimp under cold water, ensuring they are peeled and deveined.
Marination
- Combine the shrimp with lime juice in a medium bowl, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and firm.
Adding Ingredients
- Drain excess lime juice, leaving enough for flavor. Add the chopped red onion, diced tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and jalapeño. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix and Serve
- Gently toss all ingredients together until well combined. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, in tacos, or on its own.
Notes
