Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional) Add for extra sweetness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
  3. In a separate large bowl, mix the melted butter with the eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until fully integrated.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet blend, stirring gently until just moist. Avoid over-mixing! Consider adding white chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
  5. Transfer the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Do not overbake.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes
