Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about one inch in diameter, yielding approximately 12 meatballs.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
- Gently place the meatballs in the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- Slice the slider buns in half and layer the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Place the cooked meatballs on top, spoon the marinara sauce over them, and finish with shredded mozzarella.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the meatballs and cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the sliders cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
