Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

- In another mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, allowing each to fully incorporate before adding the next.
- Gradually mix in the orange juice and zest.
- Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
