Meatball Mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef or lamb Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg Binds ingredients together.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients on the countertop.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, chopped spinach, crumbled feta, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  3. Using clean hands, mix the ingredients until well combined, avoiding overmixing.
Cooking
  1. Preheat a large pan over medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Shape the meat mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  3. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the meatballs to the pan in batches.
  4. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the meatballs from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  6. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, pasta, or a fresh salad!

Notes

To ensure moist meatballs, do not skip the egg and avoid overcrowding the pan while frying. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freeze for longer storage.
